This design includes a tubeless hookless rim that reduces weight and creates a smooth fit with the tire. Despite having deep rims the 858 weighs as little as much shallower wheels. Its 23mm internal width is ideal for wider tires run at lower pressures which helps reduce rolling resistance. TSE technology addresses four key speed barriers: wind resistance gravity rolling resistance and vibration. The rim’s unique 85mm depth and patented Sawtooth shape improve aerodynamic performance and stability in crosswinds making it perfect for triathletes time trialists and speed-focused riders. While it’s optimized for tubeless tires it also works with tubeless-ready tires and tubes. It performs best with a 28mm tire and using wider lower-pressure tubeless tires not only increases speed but also smooths the ride helping athletes stay fresher for the run.
