2019 Pinarello Prince Disk Easy Fit Ultegra Di2 Bike
If you are a woman cyclist, or perhaps just a smaller rider, and are interested in taking advantage of the new Prince Disk in the Pinarello lineup, then take a look at the Pinarello Prince Disk Easy Fit and see whether there isn’t a size there that will be perfect for you.
Getting a bike to fit you perfectly is probably the most important thing you can do to ensure you will enjoy your cycling. It can be infuriating the number of bike manufacturers who think everyone who wants to ride a bike is between 5’5” and 6’2”. That’s one reason Pinarello makes nearly all their carbon frames available in as many as 11 sizes. But for those smaller riders, particularly women who have been underrepresented in terms of frame size availability, Pinarello has also designed their Easy Fit line. It is made with exactly the same care and materials as the unisex Pinarello frames, but just has had the geometry tweaked in the smaller sizes so that it will accommodate those riders who perhaps have a slightly shorter torso and reach than the average male is supposed to have. It essentially means that Pinarello makes these bikes available in 15 sizes, which is about as close to a custom monocoque carbon bike as you can get.
Otherwise, the Pinarello Prince Disk Easy Fit will look very similar to the unisex version. It is also made with the same T700 carbon that is found on the regular Prince. Having been given the same a-symmetric layup that Pinarello has perfected over the years, the Prince Disk Easy Fit will be able to offer the responsive ride that will make getting out on the open road that much more exciting. The stable handling that is a hallmark of Pinarello bikes is if anything enhanced with the women specific endurance oriented geometry that the Prince Disk Easy Fit offers. The Onda fork and seatstays will also help increase the comfort levels softening the ride without losing the rigidity. And the handling will be as stable and sharp as ever with the Onda Fork. Pinarello has included their “fork flaps” which are essentially little fairings to the rear of the dropout to up the stiffness levels and improve the aerodynamics.
It will still be ready to offer a very responsive ride especially with the smaller rear triangle. Since the seatstays hit much lower on the seat tube it will tighten up the ride making sure all accelerations get the most out of the power you are putting down. The frame shape is the same as the regular Prince with the Pinarello FlatBack profile enhancing the aerodynamics without turning it into a bone rattler. Being able to fit 28mm tires on the bike will also do a lot to improve your overall comfort and will even make gravel trails a possibility on those rides you go exploring. The flat mount disc brakes can accommodate up to 160mm rotors, which will be more than enough to handle even the longest alpine descent without overheating. The 12mm through axles will also give you a solid foundation and help you know that your stability will never be hindered by frightening wheel wobble.
Too often women specific is code for dumbed-down materials and design. Have no fear that is the case here since Pinarello’s only concern is to make sure that the greatest number of people can have the best possible time on their bikes. The Pinarello Prince Disk Easy Fit does offer a women’s specific geometry for those smaller riders typically ignored by the industry. But it does so while making sure all the quality is there from the handling to the design. It’s an Easy Fit that will be easy to love.
