As much as we’d all love to take two or three hours a day to ride outside, it’s not always possible. That’s where a smart trainer like the Tacx Flux 2 can make life and training a whole lot easier. With a direct drive flywheel, the Flux 2 can make your ride indoors feel much closer to what you’d enjoy on the road. No one wants to spend an hour on the trainer just putting in empty miles. With the Flux 2, you can be laser focused on what efforts you need to make in order to fulfill your training plan for the day. That’s because the flywheel offers the resistance required to simulate inclines up to 16% and sprints up to 2000 watts. That makes a big difference between just pedaling and pedaling with a purpose. The power accuracy is within 2.5% and it can be easily connected to your bike headset or your sports watch where all your data will be displayed and can be collected. It also will connect to popular training platforms like Zwift, Rouvy, and of course its own Tacx training app. And when you are putting down big power, you will be grateful that the asymmetrical Flux 2 design helps you feel very stable on the bike. Similarly, the flywheel is so quiet, you can easily do a training session after the kids have gone to bed without worrying about disrupting anyone’s sleep.
The trainer comes with additional axle adapters to significantly improve the axle compatibility. It is compatible with 142x12 mm and 148x12 mm axles — right out of the box.
